Oftentimes, as land developers, we are asked about some of the top custom homebuilders. And we are always happy to help! Below we have profiled two of our custom homebuilders we keep at the ready for our clients.
The Estridge family has been building custom homes since Paul Estridge Sr. started his company in 1967. The Estridge name quickly became synonymous with quality in the Indianapolis homebuilding market, a tradition that is carried on today by his son, the president of Estridge Homes, Paul Estridge, Jr. Estridge Homes has built custom homes in Oak Manor, Brookside, Bridgewater, and, most recently, Oak Park Estates. Estridge is so pleased to partner again with Langston Development to continue to build in another one of their beautiful neighborhoods. Estridge Homes will work with the buyer to build a custom home using the process that works best for them: build from a selection of plans we offer that can be customized to the buyer’s needs and aesthetic, build from a set of plans the buyer already has, or work with the buyer and a blank piece of paper to design the home of their dreams. The Estridge Design Studio gives buyers a central location to come and look at finishes for the home so the buyers do not have to go all over town. But if a buyer wants to select something for their home that they do not see in the Design Studio, the Design Studio Manager can definitely help them source that selection. Estridge Homes strives to provide each customer with a truly one-of a kind experience to go with their one-of-a-kind home. Visit their website at www.estridge.com to learn more
Hearth & Stone Builders
Hearth & Stone Builders has been in the homebuilding business for pretty much the owner’s, Mark, whole life. Mark graduated from BSU School of Architecture in 1987. He does all his own design work, plans, and details from scratch. Hearth & Stone Builders doesn’t create the average “commodity” home. While many places are doing repeat plans like MDF trim work and vanilla box finishes, H&S Builders makes unique accent details with custom millwork, cabinets, 5/8” roof decking, and seals the homes up tighter than anyone in town! Hearth & Stone Builders uses Knauf EcoSeal for full picture framing of exterior shell of home. It should be noted that no one else does this in Indy because of the time and money it takes. Another point of pride for Hearth & Stone Builders is their strong flooring systems with less floor deflection, and overall nicer quality materials than the competition in most categories. Here’s the bottom line on this custom builder, Hearth & Stone Builders is small, which means there doesn’t need to be big margins because of overhead. This gives clients more money to go towards the dream home! Lastly, this company is passionate about design and homes as if they were building for themselves.
