Amenities are oftentimes thought of as just something that is a nice addition to have in your subdivision, but not a necessity. Logically that might make some sense, however, there is a pretty good argument for why you absolutely should have them in your neighborhood, whether you have children or not. These three points will show you why it’s so important.
If you’re a single person, newly married couple, have four kids, or living the grand life of retirement, the social aspect of amenities can really save your social life. Having a community pool, tennis court, grill, or business center, can bring you together with your fellow neighbors creating new friends. Social activities can always lift your spirits!
With the recent health movements taking place it’s made everyone think a little more about how they are taking care of themselves. Go ahead and make it easy on yourself by choosing to live in a community that offers opportunities to stay in shape. Many newer developments offer not only indoor and outdoor pools, but gyms and even golf courses.
This one shouldn’t be a surprise. Having amenities available inside a community help increase the value of the properties. Even if you don’t plan to use the amenities regularly, it’s good to keep in the mind that having them in your subdivision can indirectly help boost the price tag of your house.
Being a social butterfly, staying in shape, or getting those extra dollars are all fantastic reasons to not discount those community amenities! Seriously consider and evaluate those offered (or not) in the development you plan on moving into.
